Beinn Dorain & Beinn an Dothaidh, Map 377E; 16th Jan 2004 & 23rd Jan 2008

Route: 8.4 miles; 1275m=4200' ascent; 7 hours

Route: i) Remember that the very large cairn on Beinn Dorain is not at the top but on Carn Sasunnaich. The true summit is another ¼ mile further on.
ii) It is worth doing a tour of the three tops of Beinn an Dothaidh for the views.
iii) The ground underfoot is usually very wet over most of this route.
iv) These mountains can also be done separately or in the opposite order. However, even together they amount to a shorter than average day.
v) GPS waypoints from my Garmin Etrex (Path points and stream crossings) are given here.
Weather 16/01/04: Deep snow down to 1000', some cloud, mainly clear visibility.
23/01/08: Continuous rain all day; 9°C at start, low cloud, complete cloud cover.
Connectivity: No Orange except at Bridge of Orchy (perhaps due to weather).
